  • Who can use BDO Checkout?
    Any customer who'd like to make payments via credit card or debit card for their online purchase may request for a Payment Link or an Email invoice.
  • Do I need to have a BDO account to use the service?
    No, you may use the service with any credit or debit card account (including foreign cards), as long as it belongs to the Mastercard or Visa bank networks
  • Where do I register for the service?
    • Click the Payment Link or Pay Now button on the Email Invoice sent by us.
    • For credit and debit cards: Enter your card details. If you get redirected to your issuing bank's authentication page, enter your One-Time PIN (OTP) and tap Submit.
  • How do I know if it is safe to click the link given to me by my merchant?
    There are a few ways to check if the link is legitimate:
    • Talk to your Merchant and clearly state your preferred mode of payment.​
    • Check the Payment Link sent by your Merchant. It should follow the format of “https://checkout.bdo.com.ph/xxxxx/xxxxxxx”.​
    • For credit and debit card payments: When you enter your card details, check to see if it redirects you to the authentication page of your bank or sends a One-Time PIN (OTP) (This step of the transaction varies depending on the process of your bank).
  • Which device can I use to make my credit or debit card payments?
    You may use any device that has a web browser to make your payments: laptops, mobile phones, or tablets.
  • Can I pay in installments using my credit card?
    BDO Checkout now accepts installment payments through BDO Installment! BDO Credit Cardholders can pay with 0% interest for 3 months. Regular Installment is also available for 3 to 36 months. ​
  • How do know if my payment was successful?
    You will be redirected to a confirmation page if the payment is successful.
  • Where can I validate or dispute my transaction?
    You may validate your transaction through the following:​
    • Your Merchant​
    • For credit and debit cards: the bank that issued your card, or your card statement of account
    • Make sure to save a copy of your transaction confirmation. ​​
  • How will the transaction show up in my credit card statement of account?
    It will show up in your account starting with the following:
    • For Visa transactions: BDOMerchantName
    • For MasterCard transactions: iPay88*BDOMerchantName
  • What are other security features present in BDO Checkout? ​
    • The payment link is unique and expires after one-time use.​
    • The payment link follows the security and authentication measures applied by your credit or debit card provider.​
    • Your credit card, debit card, or mobile wallet details are not stored in the platform and not submitted to your Merchant after use. This ensures privacy and security of your payment.​
